Custom IC Designer needed ***

Senior Custom IC Designer (Ottawa)

Responsibilities:
- High speed DDR3 memory interface design using full-custom CMOS
methodologies
- Design of high speed data path cells
- DDR sub-system characterization and modeling
- Schematic capture, layout, extraction, simulation
- Silicon validation and characterization in the lab
- Documentation of your design and simulation/lab results

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
- Strong knowledge of full-custom circuit design and optimization
- Strong knowledge of high-speed asynchronous clock/datapath design
- Experience with Cadence custom IC design environment
- Experience with Spectre, HSPICE, and Fast-Spice simulators
- Understand layout issues for high performance
- Verilog behavioural modeling
- Experience with UNIX scripting and design automation (Perl, TCL)
- Experience with lab equipment (scope, logic analyzer)
- Knowledge of standard cell ASIC flow highly desirable
- Experience with flip-chip a plus
- Knowledge of DFT and boundary scan issues a plus
- Must have good communication skills and work well in a team
