Applications Engineer (Ottawa)

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record to join our
Engineering Applications Team in Ottawa, Canada. The position reports
directly to the Manager of Engineering Applications. As a member of the
Engineering Applications team, you will participate in all aspects of the
product development & new product introduction process.

Responsibilities:
- Design & ownership of board level designs for internal system & functional
product validation.
- Specify, design, build and test engineering HW platforms for Product
Validation.
- Assist Field Application Engineers and Customers to design, build and test
reference design HW platforms.
- Specify reference design requirements.
- Define and report on test metrics.
- Make recommendations on production readiness.

Must Have:
- Board-level RF/Mixed Signal design experience.
- Familiar with circuit design, schematic capture & board layout tools.
- Exposure to lab test equipment (RF and digital).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Assets:
- Embedded software design experience.
- Software automation of designer or validation tests.
- Audio system design experience.
- Previous customer facing experience in the consumer electronics space.
- Knowledge of radio systems technology development.
- Previous experience with WLAN, Bluetooth, and 802.15.4 reference designs.
